The Walking Dead: Ranking The Likelihood Of Who Died In The Season 6 Finale

If Daryl dies we riot. 

It's long been the mantra for fans of The Walking Dead's breakout character, who has managed to become the most beloved on the series despite not actually originating in the comics.

He emerged from the shadows of his brother Merle to establish himself as a hero, and a crossbow-firing, motorcycle-riding, son of a gun. Surely they wouldn't kill him off, would they? 

Well, maybe. Because he isn't from the comics, there's no source material they're bound to. They might not always stick that closely to it anyway, but all bets are off when it comes to Daryl. Also, if they wanted to guarantee impact and shock factor, then this would certainly do it, and while he's an important part of the group he's not one particularly tied to any one character. 

It would be a major risk, because of his popularity, because he's a massively enjoyable character, and because he's integral to the marketing of the show. But they need a big name to kill off, and Norman Reedus has another AMC show on the horizon, so while it may be unthinkable to many, it's far from impossible.
