9. Lose The 'Hollywood Gloss'

The zombie genre is a long-standing niche and The Walking Dead is currently dominating it right now. The TV show aspect gives it far more time to explore the characters and delve deeper into plot-lines rather than the standard B-movie route of racing to kill EVERYONE. But while it's important to have lighter moments in the show, I'm all for losing the 'Hollywood gloss'. Basically, I don't want EVERY scenario to end with Daryl Dixon majestically swooping in to save the day in heroic fashion. Magic moments are fine, but they need to be spread out so the gritty nature of the show can come to the fore.
