The Walking Dead Season 6: 13 WTF Moments From 'The Same Boat'

Tension, torment, torture, and bitesize snacks!

In The Walking Dead€™s latest outing, The Same Boat, we picked up the action at exactly the point we left off last week. In fact, we actually took the action back a little bit, as we were shown just how Maggie and Carol came to be held captive by The Saviors. And it€™s with those two familiar faces that we spent the bulk of the episode here. Whilst seeing Maggie and Carol held hostage by The Saviors proved to be a tension-filled affair, there was a whole lot more going on in The Same Boat, particularly where Carol was concerned. So often relied upon to go €˜Crazy Carol€™ on a situation in order to get the necessary result, what we saw in this latest outing was seemingly a change in viewpoint from Carol, a sense of reflection, a realisation of just what she has become in this world gone to hell. And this point is even further pushed home by Paula, the apparent leader of this particular group of Saviors and somebody who Carol sees much of herself in. Luckily for our hostages, Maggie still has all of her wits about her whilst Carol is having a breakdown of sorts, and so that gave our twosome a fighting chance of escaping. But still, it was an unnerving episode of AMC€™s walker-driven show, and one that had viewers regularly pondering how exactly things were going to play out. The Same Boat was yet another outing of The Walking Dead that was full of shocking, surprising or outright random WTF moments, and here€™s the very best of them.

13. Carol€™s Hesitancy

In what would prove to be a recurring theme throughout The Same Boat, we see Carol maybe holding back a little as we€™re shown just how she and Maggie ended up as hostages of The Saviors. As a Savior creeps up behind Maggie, Carol has him dead in her sights. She steadies her gun, takes aim, and then proceeds to lower her aim and shoot Donnie in the arm. Now previously, it would€™ve been a no-brainer that Carol would have flat-out shot this Savior through the skull, but not here. At first, you could be mistaken for thinking that Carol had simply not felt the need to kill this guy, but it would soon become apparent that this Walking Dead veteran is maybe having a whole change of heart when it comes to her place in this world.
