The Walking Dead Season 6: 9 Things You Need To Know About Jesus

9. Who's Playing Him?

With Jesus being such a beloved character in the comics, the casting was pretty crucial for bringing him to the show, and they've gone for someone relatively unknown. The man underneath the hat and all that hair is English actor Tom Payne, who is probably best known for his recurring role as Brett Aspinall on British series Waterloo Road. Aside from that, he appeared in an episode of Skins back when that show was actually worth watching, and had a supporting role on Luck, the Dustin Hoffman-starring HBO series that no one seemed to watch. Based on his performance in The Next World, at least, it seems as though they've made a good choice. He's got the look down, and appears to successfully convey his other characteristics as well, being funny, cocky, and capable when it comes to the action scenes. Tom Payne may not be a big name yet, but with his role here, he's definitely about to become one.
