2. Albert Hosteen
While there have been several people across The X-Files' 11-season run, none have helped quite like the Native American, Albert Hosteen.
Albert was introduced to the show when his grandson Eric accidentally discovered a dead alien body inside their reservation. This discovery eventually led Mulder into a train car full of burned bodies, uncovering a shocking truth that the Syndicate was working on creating alien/human hybrids.
When Mulder was attacked and left for dead following this discovery, it was Albert who found him and healed him back to almost perfect health through a unique type of ritual healing.
Albert even tried to help Scully's sister when she was shot in the head by Alex Krycek, though sadly he was unsuccessful.
Albert Hosteen assisted Mulder and Scully multiple times in their career until his death from an incurable alien illness. However, just before his death, Albert helped Scully find Mulder who had been kidnapped by the Smoking Man, a sacrifice that truly changed the world of The X-Files for the better, though no one besides Mulder and Scully would ever know.
