Titans Season 2: 7 Ups & 2 Downs From ‘Deathstroke’
3. Deathstroke Is A Great Villain
We're only five episodes into the season and even with his sporadic appearances, Slade Wilson has already cemented himself as the show's strongest villain. Yes, that's a bold statement to make, but if we learned anything from 'Deathstroke', it's just how compelling a villain he truly is.
From his intricate masterplan to dissect Dick Grayson for all he had done to him in the past (even if we don't quite know what that is yet) to his imposing appearance, it's hard not to get a flutter every time that the masked swordsman appears on-screen.
Of course, we can't praise the character without mentioning Esai Morales' performance, as through his voice alone (in this episode), he managed to capture all of Slade's most chilling elements - making for, at times, an uncomfortable watch.
Deathstroke is ruthless in the comics and, from what we have seen so far, Titans has captured that beautifully. Season 2 is a thrilling watch and that is, without question, down to the fact that Deathstroke is at the heart of it.
