Twin Peaks Season 3: 10 Things That Need To Happen

2. Redemption For Dale Cooper

Really that's all just beating around the bush before getting down to what everyone's really expecting from the third season of Twin Peaks: redemption for Dale Cooper. Kyle Maclachlan's main character was obviously going to be back in the revived series, what with him being the main character and all, and the actor pretty much confirmed his return on Twitter the other day. Besides redemption for Cooper, it could also be redemption for Maclachlan, whose career took a significant nose dive after the show got cancelled. Since then he's been seen only in bit parts, like a couple of appearances on How I Met Your Mother and a brief storyline starring him on Desperate Housewives. It's about time he returned to our screens in the sort of starring role he deserves. Especially since Agent Dale Cooper is the role of a lifetime. And a character whose story is far from finished, on the basis of that season finale and Fire Walk With Me. We'd like to see the character return both in the classic, charming form everybody fell in love with in the original run, and the creepy possessed Cooper who was freaking everybody out in that final episode. It's difficult to predict exactly what the future has in store for Cooper, considering the unpredictable twist that happened with that cliffhanger, but something needs to happen. Even if it's just him being the principal villain, which would actually be awesome.
