Westworld Season 2: 10 Crucial Things That MUST Happen

With the wondrous technological capabilities on display in Westworld, it’s a wonder just what could be made if the intent was to create unstoppable killing machines.

We got a glimpse of some such horrifying creations in the first season, nightmarish even in the form of blank, immobile mannequins. With the park now on the brink of turmoil, it’s high time these mechanical monsters are put into action.

As the minds behind Delos Incorporated are by no means set simply on entertaining guests, there’s no telling to just what purpose these fearsome robots, named Drone Hosts, were covertly designed.

Whether as last lines of defence, personal bodyguards for corporate bigwigs, or mechanised weapons of death and destruction, it seems more than likely that these deadly droids can do some serious damage. As park attractions go, these fellows could end up the stars of the show.

Of course, mankind better hope there’s some kind of failsafe programming involved that makes doubly sure the Drone Hosts know which side they’re on. If similar backdoor coding enables them to renege on their “do no harm” mandate as with the other hosts, the results could be particularly messy, at their creators’ expense.
