White Collar Season 5: 5 Things We Can Expect

3. A Less Confident Con Artist

Wc Nealsad As Willie Garson points out in this entertaining interview, this season is all about the power being taken out of Neal and Moz's sails€”they are landing in trouble again and this time it is not even for something they have done. Peter's belief in the justice system is failing not only Peter but may jeopardize Neal's future as well. And, perhaps most importantly, James's betrayal chips away at Neal's already shaky foundation. Neal was just getting to know and trust his biological father, and now he has been burned again. With the way Neal was utterly blindsided at the close of season four, it seems highly likely that Neal will have a lot of soul searching to do about what these last few years have meant, and this new wound will reopen those same questions of identity Neal has struggled with throughout his personal journey. With none of his usual support system in place will Neal fall back on his new family in New York or will he fall back on old habits?
