Why Every Classic Companion Left Doctor Who

19. Wendy Padbury - Zoe Heriot

Susan Foreman
BBC

Wendy Padbury replaced Deborah Watling as the more progressive Zoe Heriot; a supremely gifted genius from the future. Padbury, Hines and Troughton were a terrific TARDIS team that saw out Doctor Who's black and white era together. When Patrick Troughton and Frazer Hines decided to leave Doctor Who, Wendy Padbury was offered the chance to stay on with the next Doctor.

Instead, Padbury decided to leave with her TARDIS team at the end of The War Games. However, a few years later, Padbury would indeed appear alongside another Doctor; playing Jenny alongside Trevor Martin's Doctor in the stage play, Doctor Who And The Daleks in The Seven Keys To Doomsday
