Bruce French appeared in several roles in Star Trek. He first appeared as Sabin Genestra, the Betazoid assistant to Norah Satie in The Drumhead. He then appeared as an Ocampan Doctor in Caretaker, a S'ona officer in Star Trek: Insurrection, and finally a Vulcan in The Andorian Incident.

French had a long and busy career in film and television, which included recurring roles in Passions, Dallas and Ally McBeal. He appeared in many films, with a career lasting over fifty years.

According to actress and singer Eileen Barnett, to whom he was married for 34 years, French played so many men of faith in his career that he owned a priest's collar that he would often bring with him to auditions.

French passed away from complications due to Alzheimer's Disease.
