Craig Richard Nelson appeared twice in Star Trek. His first role was in The Next Generation's episode A Matter Of Perspective as Krag, then his later appearance with the Voyager episode Living Witness, as a Vaskan arbiter.

He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From there, once he had finished his initial schooling, he began to study acting, which led him to his appearance in a Tony-winning play, Two Gentlemen Of Verona.

He was spotted by a casting agent, who in turn gave him a role as a law student in the film The Paper Chase. His acting roles spanned from the 1970s until the early 2000s, with his Voyager appearance being one of his last credited roles.

He was married to Stephen Greene, with whom he shared more than thirty years. His friends and family remembered him as a kind, thoughtful, and dedicated person.
