10 Best UFC Fighters Of The Last Decade

4. Conor McGregor

Everyone has their own opinion on Conor McGregor and the way he got himself to the very top of the UFC. Whether you like it or not, the Irish fighter has broken records, boundaries and, mostly, backed up his bravado with exceptional levels of violence.

Following his signing in 2013, McGregor went on terrifying run against the fellow featherweights in his division, finishing every one of them - bar Max Holloway - with his signature left hand. Just look at the accuracy of his punch when he shocked the entire MMA world and levelled Jose Aldo with a wicked hook in 13 seconds.

His epic fights with Nate Diaz will already go down as two of the finest in the UFC's history, but it's his performance against Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title that will be the crowning moment of his career. From the moment the referee signalled them to fight, McGregor was on a different level than the veteran, moving in and out at will and landing audacious shots to his opponent's jaw until the then champ plummeted face-first into the canvas.

Whether or not he can get back on the horse and contend for the lightweight title against Khabib Nurmagomedov again is a different story. However, even if he doesn't, his legacy as an elite fighter will be spoken about for years to come.
