10 Greatest UFC Signature Moves
8. Anderson Silva's Movement
Don't be fooled by what seems like an over-looking of Anderson Silva's dynamic array of thrashings. There's a reason why this man makes the top 10 of most people's lists of the GOAT's to step into the octagon.
Silva could torment his rival with aggressive front kicks - notably KO'ing Vitor Belfort with it. His knee strikes were also the stuff of legend - taking the likes of Dan Henderson off his feet - while his merciless triangle hold could also end a fight...just ask Chael Sonnen.
Yet, none of these finishes would be possible if it weren't for a key skill in The Spider's locker - his movement.
Anderson Silva made a mockery of fighters for years by ducking and diving punches and kicks, with the kind of ease that only riled his rivals up to the point of implosion. With that movement also came timing and Silva boasted an awareness of when to strike, that few in the sport have replicated.
Silva could use his opponents weight against them, with his own understanding of Martial Arts - Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, to name a few - only coming in to seal the deal once they had swung...and missed.
