10 UFC Fights That You Cannot Miss In May
1. Al Iaquinta Vs. Donald Cerrone - UFC Fight Night 150
Donald Cerrone stunned a lot of fans when he returned to the UFC lightweight division and battered rising prospect Alex Hernandez, before knocking him out with savage head kick. Many thought that his career was at the end after an average run at welterweight, but he proved that he's still a force at 155lb. Say what you will about Cerrone and his title aspirations, but he deserves credit for never giving up.
Despite his last win marking a triumphant return to the division he made his name in, he's in for an extremely tough challenge against Al Iaquinta. It seems like the New York native has always been underrated in his career, despite beating good fighters like Ross Pearson and Jorge Masvidal.
His last two fights have really shown MMA fans how good he actually is. In his last fight, he beat Kevin Lee soundly by decision and he's the only fighter to make lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov look somewhat human. Now that he's fighting on a regular basis again, this is the perfect time for Iaquinta to really take a shot at the title and a win against Cerrone would help that exponentially.
However, Cerrone is probably on his last run in the division and he'll want to end his career with UFC gold. With both men taking aim at the belt, this could turn into one of the most entertaining scraps of 2019.
