10 UFC Fights That You Cannot Miss In May

4. Rose Namajunas Vs. Jessica Andrade - UFC 237

It's been a long time since we've seen UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas compete inside the Octagon. Usually a champion not defending their belt for a long period of time can ruin a division. However, Namajunas' hiatus has given time for her weight class to mature and flesh out so she's got plenty of new contenders for her belt.

While Andrade certainly isn't the newest fighter on the scene, she's definitely the most deserving at 115lb. After a resounding loss to then champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk, she's gone on a three-fight win streak against some very tough opposition.

Not only did she have impressive performances against Claudia Gadelha and Tecia Torres, she also knocked out Karolina Kowalkiewicz in brutal fashion. Whoever claimed that smaller fighters don't have knockout power has never seen Andrade light up an opponent like a Christmas tree before.

While we can sing all the praises of Andrade, it's a little more difficult to do with Namajunas. Yes, she's the champion and looked outstanding in her two performances against Jedrzejczyk, but being out for over a year means it's difficult to predict what type of performance we're going to see from her.

That being said, she's always had exciting fights and with Andrade's propensity to throw swinging punches like a mini Wanderlei Silva, this should still be an extremely entertaining scrap.
