While estimates vary a great deal, the adult entertainment industry reportedly generates somewhere between $6 and $97 billion (USD) on an annual basis. Even if we go with the lower end of the spectrum, it's fair to say there's a lot of money in porn.

Conversely, unless one makes to the very top, there isn't a lot of money in the sport of mixed martial arts. An amateur fighter rising through the ranks isn't compensated for their services (hence the amateur part). Even a lower-tier UFC fighter doesn't make as much as one might think. In fact, the median income for a UFC athlete in 2018 was listed at just $68,500 USD (equal to roughly £52,000).

So what does a struggling fighter do to make ends meet? In some cases, they turn to a more lucrative industry — adult entertainment.

With that in mind, it's time to take a look at several fighters, all of whom competed for major promotions that have been involved in porn.

Some of these athletes have worked behind the scenes, while others were the star of the show.
