After three consecutive losses back in 2017, most people thought that Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone’s best days were behind him. However, many fans and pundits wrote the popular veteran off far too soon.

Cerrone is currently riding a three-fight win streak and coming off consecutive upset victories over Alexander Hernandez and Al Iaquinta respectively. On 8 June, "Cowboy" will go head-to-head with the returning Tony "El Cucuy" Ferguson. Ferguson is the midst of an eleven-fight win streak and hasn't tasted defeat since May of 2012.

This is a tough fight to call, as both men are very well-rounded fighters on hot streaks.

If both combatants are content to trade punches, then it's really anyone's game. However, Ferguson has a solid wrestling pedigree and knack for choking his opponents out. If things go to the ground, look for "El Cucuy" to take control of the fight. Expect Ferguson to get rocked early and successfully switch to wrestle-heavy attack.

The Pick: Ferguson via unanimous decision.
