UFC 245 Predictions

4. Marlon Moraes Vs. Jose Aldo

We've got an all Brazilian bantamweight bout, as former WEC and UFC champion, Jose Aldo, makes his 135lb debut against former title challenger Marlon Moraes.

Both men are returning to the Octagon after a loss, with Moraes being knocked out in dramatic fashion by current champion, Henry Cejudo, back at UFC 238 in June, while Aldo dropped a convincing decision to UFC 245 featherweight title challenger, Alexander Volkanovski, in May.

Despite neither fighter being in the best form of their life, they're still extremely dangerous in all aspects of the fight game. While both are very good when it comes to grappling - especially Aldo, who won a world championship at brown belt in jiu-jitsu - it's highly unlikely that this match-up is going to hit the ground.

Aldo and Moraes are both exceptional strikers, especially when they're in low kick range, so expect plenty of debilitating strikes to that area of their opponent's body. Although Moraes has proven himself to be a top-10 fighter, Aldo is a legend in the sport and has shown this time and time again.

While the cut down to bantamweight could have an impact on his performance, the 33-year old veteran should still have enough in the tank to beat Moraes.

Jose Aldo via unanimous decision.
