These two real life great friends went to battle at SummerSlam in one of their strangest and final encounters. Guerrero and Rey started to team together in early 2005 but Eddie's subsequent heel turn following their Tag Team Championship loss started a long feud between the two. Eddie, in a new dimension for his character, played serious mid games with Mysterio claiming to know a secret about the company's biggest little man. In a move that was seen to go to far by many, Eddie revealed Rey and his wife were having problems conceiving, leaving Rey's son Dominick no only adopted, but actually Eddie's biological child. Guerrero wanted custody of 'his son' so instead of taking the matter to court, the pair settled their differences in the ring with Dom's custody on the line. Custody papers were suspended above the ring and the pair had to climb a ladder to get them. The match itself was a classic encounter between two of the greats of the modern era. Obviously, Rey got the emotional win.
