10 Amazing Hidden Gems From WWE Superstars Of Wrestling

7. Hard As Nailz

Your writer was a merely seven years old when Nailz delivered on his terrifying threats with an even more terrifying attack on the Big Boss Man, so excuse the teary mists of nostalgia when analysing the sheer horror that took place during the ex-convict's harrowing arrival.

Weeks after teasers echoing through the building every time the Boss Man was nearby, Nailz struck after a routine squash victory for the Cobb County lawmen. It may well have been the last time he was ever a force in WWE again.

Extreme viciousness was required in order to get over the rage that had built within the prisoner's soul for all the time he'd felt wrongly persecuted by the lawman and others of his ilk, and fortunately Nailz made up for his lack of in-ring dynamism with an exceptional line in beating the sh*t out of a handcuffed cop.

WWE were always excellent at assaults such as these - there will be plenty more on the 30 episodes to digest - but this remains one of the most evocative for those that lived through it at the time, even if the payoff could never quite match all the promise.
