10 Amazing Wrestling Feuds With AWFUL Endings

Randy Orton cut some of the finest promos of the past 10 years in the build to his WrestleMania showdown with Edge last year. Coming off as a volatile psychopath, Orton had incendiary segments with Edge, Matt Hardy and Beth Phoenix. Back after nine long years, Edge's heroic comeback was sullied by an old pal turned bitter rival. Fans were furious and their clash was highly anticipated.

While the storyline remained exceptional, the match fell painfully flat. From Edge randomly climbing everything in sight to a distasteful hanging attempt in the Performance Centre gym, nothing really worked. The Greatest Match of All Time that followed was better but still rather odd thanks to liberties taken on the production front. With Edge taking time off for a triceps injury, Orton reignited the feud's heat by punting Edge's pal Christian. It was good enough to keep interest in a rubber match alive.

Fast forward to this year and we got exactly that when they had a surprisingly brief clash on RAW. Instead of Edge triumphantly vanquishing his foe, he picked up a tainted win because Alexa Bliss decided to puke squid ink by the ring post. A distracted Orton seems to have just forgotten about all that now a mere week later. With Edge moving on to a world title match at Mania, it appears this feud is on ice. Starting stronger than any WWE feud in the last five years, Orton vs Edge ended on a pitiful whimper. Good luck in the Firefly Funhouse Randy, you're going to need it.
