10 Amazing WWE World Title Wins (That Led To Lame Championship Runs)
6. Sasha Banks
The women’s revolution peaked with a show stealing match at WrestleMania 32. The newly crowned Women’s Championship was nabbed by Charlotte Flair in a deserving if unsurprising choice, but Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks acquitted themselves just as well.
Nearly four months hence, The Boss proved on the main roster what she’d spent ages demonstrating on NXT: that she’s one of the best wrestlers in the world. She pinched the belt from Flair following a scorching Raw watch, in a decision that proved hugely popular to the Pittsburgh crowd.
Unfortunately, as proved to be the story of Sasha’s career, the reign didn’t last long, and she swiftly dropped the strap to - who else - Charlotte at August’s SummerSlam. The two swapped the belt four further times, with Sasha’s run proving short every time.
Indeed, Banks’ multiple runs with the Raw and Smackdown belts have not added up to a whole lot of time. She’s made them count, especially with her most recent run on the blue brand, but for a performer of her rarely surpassed talents, she remains lacking that one defining reign as champ.
