10 Awesome One-Time WWE Champions
4. Billy Graham
"Superstar" Billy Graham is credited by some historians as the guy who helped inspire legendary characters like Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair, having blazed a trail during his one-year reign as WWE champion between 1977 and 1978.
That's a pretty big mantle to have to live up to, but one glance at a picture of him in his pomp and it's immediately clear why so many aspiring wrestlers saw him as a cut above the rest.
With a chiselled physique and a peroxide blonde hairdo, Graham was one of the first wrestlers to put image and presentation at the heart of what he did, paving the way for a generation of larger-than-life muscle monsters.
Neither should we ignore his contribution on the microphone. Despite making his name before the inception of weekly shows, Graham became renowned for his flamboyant promo style (in particular the incredibly important use of the word "brother").
