9. Edge And Christian
Together, Edge and Christian were one of the best tag-teams in WWE history. Winning multiple tag titles, they were also part of infamous matches such as the 'TLC' encounters and a Tag-Team Ladder Match opposite The Hardy Boyz at No Mercy 1999. That bout helped put them on the map, but by 2001 they were on different sides of the alignment divide. Having won the 2001 King Of The Ring tournament, Edge was the babyface following the split of the team. Contrastingly, Christian filled the role of heel, and the pair had a feud towards the end of the year. Fans were licking their chops over what might happen, but the matches didn't end up being anything to really write home about. Oddly, the pair didn't work too well against one another. Maybe Edge and Christian were just too used to working as a unit, making the task of facing one another more difficult. Whatever the case, there were several communication breakdowns during their matches. At both Unforgiven and No Mercy 2001, they failed to tear the house down as expected, with the latter event's Ladder Match a particular disappointment.
