As bad as the term 'WWE Universe' is, there's only one name given to sports-entertainment fans over the years that has been worse and it was in reference to the late Andrew Martin's character, Test.

In 2002, shortly after the peak of the Attitude Era and the birth of the "Kaneanites", Test had been paired with Stacy Keibler whom suggested that Test consider calling his fans his "Testicles". That's right folks: WWE called their fans balls and made them cheer for it.

Unquestionably, this is the most insulting, embarrassing, and disgusting name that was ever given to an audience of any sort. To then position it as a compliment or as a form of flattery only compounds the mistake.

Obviously, this was another sign of the times since, in 2002, WWE's Attitude Era had already crossed every line in the book. After porn stars, pimps, and castration had been a weekly occurrence on Monday Night RAW, calling Andrew Martin's fans a pair of gonads really wasn't too shocking. It's also not the typical way to go about increasing a wrestler's fan base, though that was surely far down on the list of company concerns.

What made it worse is that many fans embraced it, proudly wearing their ignorance or obsession with the male reproductive tools as a badge of honor, you decide which one.
