Chris Jericho's destruction of Mitch would not go unpunished. During the first episode of the revived Highlight Reel the following week, Y2J bragged about how his scheduled guest, Dean Ambrose, would not be able to appear due to the injuries he had suffered in the assault. Jericho then unveiled the remnants of Mitch - some dirt and broken shards of pottery - to a disgusted crowd.

Later that evening, Jericho was scheduled to compete in Raw's main event. He stepped out onto the stage in the dark wearing his LED-adorned jacket, but as he posed, someone attacked him. With only the blue lights on his garment visible, Jericho was thrown to the floor. The jacket was picked up and put on, though, and the person wearing it made his way to the ring.

When the lights went on, Ambrose was revealed as the perpetrator. As a beaten Jericho watched from the stage, Ambrose began to tear at the jacket's lining. He started pulling out wiring as Y2J screamed about the jacket having cost him $15,000. Jericho tried to save his garment, but Ambrose fought him off.

He then pulled out the jacket's circuit board and stomped on it before taking a pair of shears to the leather.
