News that AJ Styles would be paired up with Shane at WrestleMania at WrestleMania 33 was probably received with even greater disappointment than The Undertaker the year before, since AJ - unlike the 'Deadman' - was still very much in his prime and, having fought a so-so match with Jericho the year before, had yet to have his 'Mania moment.

This one, you imagine, probably won't go down as the best match AJ ever has on the 'Grandest Stage', but it did comfortably better his effort the year before, and - given the lowly pre-show expectations - it came as a pleasant surprise that the pair were able to deliver perhaps the best match of the night.

And AJ by no means carried him either: this was a match that saw Shane bust out moves we've never seen from him before, including a superbly executed Shooting Star Press.
