2. Chris Jericho

Every time Chris Jericho comes back—and he seems to come back an awful lot—there’s always the worry that he might have lost a step or signed up for one return too many. And yet, after about three minutes of seeing him in action, that worry is a distant memory.

If anything, he only gets better with each return, as he somehow manages to continually reinvent himself. Take his most recent run that began in January 2016—the same one that was supposed to end at WrestleMania, but wound up with Jericho still going strong in 2017 as US Champion, having made a pad of paper the most over act on Monday nights.

Perhaps the best testament to how he’s blossomed in his later years lies in his Royal Rumble record. From his ten appearances in the Rumble match, his three longest stints have each arrived after turning 40. He managed 47:53 during a return in 2013, 50:50 in 2016 before at the ripe old age of 46, he became the 60-minute man earlier this year with a time of one hour and 13 seconds.

Not bad for a guy who juggles wrestling with podcasting, fronting a rock band and writing the occasional book.
