10 Best Wrestlers Under 30 In The World Today

6. Johnny Gargano - 29

NXT 401 Johnny Gargano

Ex-DIY man Johnny Gargano barely makes the cut, as he'll turn 30 on August 14th. Regardless, he's far too talented to exclude from such a list, as he's been one of NXT's most valuable players for the past 12 months.

Gargano is his generation's Ricky Morton. He has absolutely perfected the 'face in peril' role, with his expert selling and ability to get the crowd behind him a perfect contrast to his former partner Tommaso Ciampa's relentless energy. DIY's feud with The Revival will become legendary, and the duo have been excellent throughout 2017 as well, dragging a great series of matches from the (very) green Authors Of Pain.

'Johnny Wrestling' recently returned to NXT television after Ciampa turned on him in Chicago. He'll face Andrade Almas at TakeOver: Brooklyn III, but a feud with his former partner awaits whenever Tommaso recovers from injury. It promises to be one of the biggest feuds NXT has ever seen, and if booked correctly, there's no reason Ciampa vs. Gargano can't headline a future takeover.

Gargano must now find his footing as a singles wrestler, but if he's half as compelling as he was during his time in DIY, he'll remain one of NXT's biggest standouts.
