The only real downside to Hulk Hogan's comeback run between 2002 and 2003 is that he didn't stick around long enough to bump into Mr. America. Seeing those two go at it would have been right up there with the very best encounters in WWE history.

That (very dumb angle) aside, this was pretty special. It included, for exaxmple, the mega-match between The Hulkster and The Rock at WrestleMania X8, perhaps the 15 most electrifying minutes in sports entertainment history thanks to an absolutely rabid Toronto crowd.

That wasn't the only highlight though. After finishing up with The Great One, Hogan had a brief run as Undisputed Champion later on in the year when he scored an unlikely victory over Triple H. He then faced Vince McMahon in a brilliantly brutal Street Fight at WrestleMania XIX.

None of this was quite as era-defining as slamming Andre, but few thing in the history of the wrestling industry can hold a candle to that. And considering how acrimonious his split from Vince McMahon in the mid-'90s was, there was no guarantee we'd ever see him back in a WWE ring at all.
