10 Best WWE Face Turns Of The 2010s
5. The Usos - SmackDown 2017
From one humble heel turn to another.
After months of epic tag team wars and trading the SmackDown tag belts between themselves, The Usos and The New Day brought their feud of 2017 to an end inside Hell in a Cell.
The Usos, who were heels at the time, defeated The New Day in an excellent match to regain the titles. They celebrated with the belts the next night, but not in their usual abrasive manner.
Instead, they directly addressed their opponents from the night before, praising them rather than taunting them. They acknowledged how talented Big E, Kofi, and Xavier were, and admitted that they took them to their limits. They then showed their respects to their opponents and firmly buried the hatchet.
This feud didn't just end because one team won. It ended because the heels conceded that their opponents were just as good as they were. This also played into future storylines, when The Usos refused to fight The New Day during the gauntlet match to get Kofi Kingston his WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 35.
A great piece of storytelling with far-reaching consequences, The Usos proved that sometimes a simple angle is just as effective as a flashy one.
