10 Best WWE Face Turns Of The 2010s
3. Edge - Royal Rumble 2010
During the 2010 Royal Rumble match, the Rated-R Sooooooooperstar, Edge, made his triumphant return from injury a whole six months ahead of schedule.
When Edge went out, he was in the middle of a heel tag team championship run with Chris Jericho, who began mocking his former partner for getting injured whilst Edge was on the shelf.
The return drew a huge pop from the crowd, but it wasn't immediately clear that Edge was now a babyface. All confusion was cleared up moments later, when he ran into the ring and delivered a Spear straight to Jericho, before promptly chucking him over the top rope.
Edge would go on to win the whole thing and ended up challenging Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXVI.
This face turn speaks for itself - it happened during the Royal Rumble match, it was a total surprise, and it set up a world championship match at WrestleMania. Accomplishing all those things in one fell swoop is no easy feat and you have to think that Edge's immense popularity was one of the reasons behind this angle's success.
