10 Best WWE Matches Under 10 Minutes
6. Brock Lesnar Vs. Samoa Joe (Great Balls Of Fire)
Granted, there was a small but vocal group of fans who took to the internet in the wake of Great Balls of Fire to complain that this match fell short of expectations, primarily on the basis that it was a smidgen too short.
At six minutes 25 seconds, they kind of had a point. Even within the context of Brock Lesnar matches - which seldom pass the 10-minute mark unless there are at least three men involved - you do feel this one could have gone on a little longer.
That said, you can't say that what we got wasn't exciting. Joe came out of the traps like a man possessed, launching an attack on Lesnar before the opening bell to give himself the best possible chance of walking out as Universal Champion.
As the match went on, there was an air of inevitability about the outcome, particularly since this was the Beast Incarnate's first title defence since WrestleMania, but you couldn't quite rule out a smash and grab after that opening sequence. While it lasted, it was absolutely enthralling.
