10 Best WWE Matches Under 10 Minutes
2. Mike Awesome Vs. Masato Tanaka (One Night Stand 2005)
For most fans, the abiding memory of One Night Stand 2005 was watching Paul Heyman deliver a much-needed dressing down to the Raw and SmackDown wrestlers perched up in the stands - specifically Edge and JBL (aka Triple H's Tuesday night stand-in).
But the matches weren't bad either, with one of them - Mike Awesome's bout with Masato Tanaka - going down in the history books as one of the all-time great WWE matches to clock in at fewer than 10 minutes (a mark it missed by just eight seconds).
What made this match great was its authenticity. Though this went down more than four years on from the demise of ECW, it really felt like you were watching the real thing, especially when Tanaka was dumped through a table on the outside for the finish.
There was also an interesting subplot over in the announce booth, where Joey Styles reminded fans at every available opportunity (and, apparently, this wasn't kayfabe) how much he despised Awesome for walking out on the promotion.
