10 Best WWE Raw Episodes Of 2016
7. 4 January 2016
The Highlights: The first Raw of every new year is actually much more important than you might think. It sets the tone for the rest of the year, and the 4 January edition was successful in doing just that for 2016. The night was headlined by a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Roman Reigns and Sheamus with Mr. McMahon as special guest referee, and afterward, it was announced the title would be defended in the Royal Rumble match later that month.
The pacing of the show was nearly perfect with Chris Jericho making a surprise return, Charlotte Flair officially severing ties from Becky Lynch, and even The Social Outcasts debuting as a faction. WWE certainly rang in the new year the right way.
The Low Points: There was really no need for Ryback and Big Show to have a match, let alone for The Wyatt Family to get involved. Alberto Del Rio and Rusev facing The Usos wasn't awful, but it surely wasn't memorable.
And lastly, Titus O'Neil vs. Stardust was practically filler, especially considering that nothing ever came of the feud.
