1. WrestleMania 29
"The concrete jungle where dreams are made of" wasn't actually the location of 2013's WrestleMania 29, not that you'd know it from the truly remarkable aesthetic on the night.
New Jersey's MetLife Center (latterly remembered as the venue that thousands of fans were stranded outside of when 2019's event lasted long into Monday morning and all local public transport had stopped) was transformed into New York City thanks to a stage set-up including the Brooklyn Bridge, the Empire State Building and a giant Statue Of Liberty adorning the roof above the ring.
New York has always been the spiritual home of the Stamford organisation, and there's always been something extra special about the 'City That Never Sleeps' hosting the biggest night of the company calendar. Neither the product nor the event (with the exception of a CM Punk/Undertaker banger) was as impressive as the elaborate staging itself, foreshadowing much of how the company prioritised things on the 'Show Of Shows' in years to come.
