Rematches. Rematches everywhere...

The night in which WWE decides to celebrate every single one of its title-holders is almost upon us. Yes, the event formerly known as Vengeance and Night of Champions will return to the WWE Network for a new instalment later this week and, judging by the stacked card, it could be an interesting night... though not necessarily for the right reasons.

Clash of Champions will see Drew McIntyre square off with Randy Orton in a SummerSlam rematch, but this time they'll meet in - yep, you guessed it - an Ambulance Match, Roman Reigns will defend his recently won Universal Championship against Jey Uso in what could be one of the more intriguing dynamics of the night, and Raw Tag Team Champions the Street Profits will take on Andrade & Angel Garza for the 1876875th time because why the hell not!

Clash of Champions could present us with some interesting outcomes, but after WWE successfully managed to make the last-minute Payback a hoot, can they follow through with this one? To quote the old expression, anything can happen in the WWE, but that doesn't change the fact that we have concerns...

10. Too Many Matches

It might be unfair to judge an event like Clash of Champions for having too many matches when it's only doing what it says on the tin, but it would be a lie if this writer said that the amount of matches on the card wasn't a slight cause for concern.

WWE is a company that doesn't know the meaning of 'less is more' but over the last couple of months, they have produced admirably short PPVs that were both relatively tight and concise, featuring an average of seven matches per event (with maybe an extra one taking place on the Kick-Off show).

Clash of Champions features nine bouts overall. While that isn't all that big of an increase, it is the lengthiest card they've had since WrestleMania and the fact that they're all championship matches could significantly impact the length of the event. Heck, it's already having an impact as one of those title bouts had to be moved to the Kick-Off show.

The shorter PPVs made for a much easier watch, all while allowing each match on the card the time they needed to breathe. Let's hope that sticking to the Clash of Champions tradition and cramming every title onto the card won't end that streak.
