Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but if a match is announced for a pay-per-view I kinda feel like it should take place, you know? Slotted into the semi-main event position (Reigns still managing to place higher on a card than his Shield brethren in world championship matches), the planned United States Championship match between Rusev and Roman Reigns never got started.

Reigns attacked Rusev from the off and the fight continued to the point where the match was simply unable to start proper. It was called a no-contest, and Reigns delivered a Spear to the Bulgarian Brute after the decision in order to continue looking as strong as possible.

This feud has been a mess. It began over cake, and the supposedly babyface Reigns has consistently looked like an awful human being throughout. Rusev yet again finds himself in a feud where he is the logical face but working as the heel. Tell me; who wins here?

Well, nobody wins, because the match didn't happen! The two will probably have a full-length singles match on RAW tonight.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
