2. Are Rollins And The Authority On The Verge Of A Split?
Tension between Seth Rollins and the Authority has simmered for a while now, but looks to calm down after each successful title defence. This time, however, Stephanie McMahon seemed to be firmly against her charge for the duration of Raw. She reminded him that he's no Triple H, and gave John Cena the go-ahead to exercise his rematch clause at Night of Champions - forcing Rollins to defend both his belts in one night. A Rollins split would be a very interesting direction for the WWE to take their main event scene in, especially given Seth's status as a heel. Setting out to defend the title on his own merits would be a decidedly heroic course of action, one which could signal the start of a face turn. It remains to be seen whether this apparent discord will lead to major developments for both Seth and the Authority (they'll need a new golden boy, after all), or if it's simply another minor ripple.
