1. Kurt Angle

For all the exciting independent and international talent that might be available in 2017, WWE couldn’t make a better signing than Kurt Angle.

The Olympic Hero’s name has been continually linked with a return since his TNA deal expired earlier this year, but this has yet to materialise. WWE didn’t call on him to fill a post-Draft roster spot like many had expected, and Angle has instead stayed busy on the independent circuit.

After Goldberg’s reappearance earlier this year, Angle is one of the last big returns that WWE have left in the chamber. His iconic entrance music would draw a huge pop from the very first note, and having not appeared for WWE in over 10 years, Kurt would be treated like a returning hero. It’d be one of the year’s biggest moments, and one WWE surely can’t afford to pass up on.

Angle’s age and considerable wear and tear work against him, but his indie work proves he’s still an excellent worker when called upon. Regardless, Angle doesn’t even need to be a full-time wrestler, and he’d be just as well-accepted as a manager or other on-air personality. The man himself even floated the possibility of working as American Alpha’s mastermind earlier this year, and who wouldn’t want to see that?

It feels like an inevitability that Angle will one day return to WWE, and with any luck, it’ll come while he’s still actively competing. Either way, there’s no way his comeback wouldn’t be a huge hit with the WWE Universe.

Attention WCPW fans... Kurt Angle will take on Alberto El Patron in a dream match at WCPW True Destiny on February 12th. Buy your tickets HERE.
