10 Big Vince McMahon Arguments With Top WWE Stars

1. Bret Hart

By a country mile, Bret Hart has had the most heat with Vince McMahon out of all the top names in WWF/WWE history. In 1996, Eric Bischoff was aware of the WWF's financial problems. Having Ted Turner's millions behind him, Bischoff approached Hart about the possibility of jumping over to WCW. Looking to be fair to his current employer, the Canadian informed McMahon. Unable to match WCW's offer, Vince instead offered Bret a 20-year deal worth more over the stretch. It wouldn't be as much in the short-term, but Hart was willing to sign on the dotted line. Later, McMahon reneged on the contract and told Bret just to sign with WCW, so the wrestler opened talks with Bischoff. Unfortunately, things went down the pan over exactly how Bret would drop the WWF Heavyweight Title. Hart didn't want to do so in Canada, which posed a problem. McMahon was worried he'd show up on WCW TV with his prized belt, so he served to screw Bret out of the title at the 1997 Survivor Series. Shawn Michaels, referee Earl Hebner and others were involved. This led to years of personal strife between McMahon and Hart, who didn't really bury the hatched until almost 13 years after the incident.
