Yes, yes everyone knows the match title was about as true as Kane’s hometown. Because of course, The Undertaker and Triple H will be headlining Saudimania until the day the trumpet blows. But let’s just put all that aside, and bask in the sheer magic of this moment.

As much as people like to take the piss out of 'Taker and The Game still competing in 2019, nothing can ever take away the contributions made by both these men to the business and WWE. This, for all purposes, was their last hurrah together.

The previous year, they had given us the match of the night. With all the hype and storytelling surrounding the Round 2 at 'Mania XXVIII inside Hell in a Cell, there were many who dared to believe the impossible could happen.

The match itself was a hellacious encounter as you would expect, with welts and bruises decorating the battle hardened bodies of both these gladiators. In the end, The Undertaker extended his streak, pinning the man of many H’s right in the middle of the ring.

But it was the very last act of the story that took all our emotions and multiplied them a hundred fold. As Triple H lay prone inside ring, 'Taker joined Shawn Michaels in helping him up and then, all three hugged. As the three all-time greats stood at the entrance ramp, returning the crowd’s applause, it was as if decades of unforgettable memories were flashing by us at once. If only this could have been our final memory of the three. Instead, we had to see Kane’s wig falling off.

After battling Galactus and pinning Hulk Hogan in the main event of Wrestlemania, I've taken a break from living in fantasy worlds, to focus on writing about them. I'm a comic book geek, a wrestling mark, a break dancer, and a scientist. One of those things may not be true.
