10 Biggest Wrestlers Not Signed To WWE Or AEW

Lord knows Enzo and Cass... ahem, nZo and CaZXL... have tried to get back through the door. The problem is that nobody with any sense is answering - and unfortunately for the pair, that includes pretty much everybody.

The former NXT stars briefly looked to have made it back into the big time when they gatecrashed Ring Of Honor's huge G1 Supercard special over WrestleMania weekend, their recent history of causing a stir and Bret Hart's own unexpected assault at the Hall of Fame generating something akin to genuine buzz. But the pair stupidly outstayed their welcome, turned the skit into a personal peacock parade, and promptly blued the feet of ROH's head office.

Despite the false start - and more importantly, the pair's disgraced reputations in Stamford - rumours began circulating in August that the team would re-alight in NXT as the former developmental brand prepared to step up to national TV. WWE, utterly aghast at the suggestion, quickly moved to deny any chance of the impossible happening. Heck, there was more chance of CM Punk hosting their new FS1 sh... oh.

So WWE are off the table then, at least for the time being. How about AEW? It seems highly unlikely. FreeAgentZ's name is mud amongst discerning wrestling fans - for their work as much as their scandals - and for a company trading on giving fans what they want, it wouldn't be a good look. Still, they also pride themselves on inclusivity; perhaps forgiveness is part and parcel of that remit?

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
