10 Biggest WWE Crimes CM Punk Totally Got Away

2. Dissing Triple H Over Proposed WrestleMania XXX Match

Angry and eager to spill his side of the story to a friend, CM Punk's interview with Colt Cabana upon leaving WWE was gripping. According to Punk, the plan was to have him face Triple H come WrestleMania XXX, but the match was canned by Punk himself. Incredibly, he claims that he told 'The Game' he had zero interest in facing him on the event. An earlier bout between the pair from the Night Of Champions 2011 pay-per-view had stuck in Punk's craw. On that evening, Triple H beat Punk, something the latter didn't seem to think was a good idea. At the time, many fans agreed with him, and the wrestler was unwilling to let things go when the idea of a prospective rematch in 2014 was pitched. Punk told Triple H he had nothing to gain from wrestling him again, and therefore wasn't even remotely invested in the proposal. There's little doubt Triple H would have been furious over this slight, because WrestleMania is something WWE deem a privilege for their performers. Turning down a match on that stage against such a top star was seemingly something Punk was getting away with, at least until he decided to leave.
