10 Burning Questions For WWE Raw (Feb 29)

9. Does Ryback€™s Turn Matter?

Last week, the world was shocked by a fan favorite finally giving in to temptation and abandoning his cohorts, deciding that it was better to look out for himself than to try to play to the fans and his friends. Unfortunately, we€™re talking Ryback, not a main eventer jockeying for the world title. The Big Guy walked out on Big Show and Kane during a six-man tag match against the Wyatt Family, leading to their defeat. Ryback later gave the reason as needing to look out for himself and not get bogged down in tag matches. That sounds all well and good, but does it matter in grand scheme of things? Ryback was a heel for much of 2013-14, feuding with WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena and CM Punk before sliding down the card. Currently, he€™s nowhere near that level of prominence on the roster. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnQQ54NJFqY Maybe the turn is meant to give WWE a top flight heel (because God knows there€™s a dearth of them right now), or maybe the writers are bored. What happens in the next several weeks will help determine what to make of this.
