10 Contenders For The First AEW Midcard Championship
6. Kip Sabian
The UK is arguably the biggest wrestling country in Europe and easily in the top five across the world.
WWE have recently started to mine it for talent, and now AEW have joined the dig. One such British talent that the Khans snapped up was "Superbad" Kip Sabian.
Sabian already holds a place in the AEW history books - he won their first ever singles match at Double or Nothing. If AEW want to continue building Sabian's legacy, then putting their first midcard title around his waist would certainly be a wise move.
The British star is no stranger to being an inaugural champion; he was one half of the first ever World of Sport Tag Team Champions with Iestyn Rees. He has also won belts in IPW:UK, NGW, and various other UK promotions.
Sabian is a great young wrestler who could really benefit from a title run. He is also currently unaffiliated with the two major stables in AEW, which would keep things fresh and stop every single title being absorbed into the Inner Circle vs Elite feud.
That being said...
