10 Dream Matches That The WWE Can Still Offer
5. Sasha Banks vs. IYO SKY
Yes, this has happened before, but if a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound?
In June 2020, at the height of the global pandemic, WWE tried in vain to turn the tide against the battering NXT were receiving in the ratings by AEW Dynamite. With no crowds and pre-ThunderDome, the matches played out to either abject silence or forced cheers from the overworked development talent.
Banks and Bayley were on a tear as the ‘Golden Role Models’, and Banks even made her way to NXT for a one-off match for the then-named Io Shirai. The match was class, but it was given little build and suffered from the extenuating circumstances.
But they could easily main event a Premium Live Event, and with SKY now on the main roster under the tutelage of Banks’ greatest rival, and ‘The Boss’’ impending return to the company, it wouldn’t take much to get the pulses racing.
Two of the greatest female performers on the roster, and arguably in the world, going toe to toe would be electric and both of them wrestle with such reckless abandon that you can just imagine the insane spots and danger they would put themselves through.
If there was one unlikely women’s feud that needs to be built up, it’s this one.
