10 Dream Wrestling Matches That Only Happened On TV

7. Shawn Michaels vs. Goldberg (Monday Night Raw; October 20, 2003)

When you think of the WWE's biggest stars in the last decade, names such as John Cena, Triple H and Batista come to mind. Goldberg, who lasted a mere year in WWE, is often overlooked. In his short stint with the company, he won the World Heavyweight Championship and scored victories over the likes of The Rock, Triple H and Brock Lesnar. Whether he is WWE Hall of Fame worthy is arguable, but there's no questioning that he made an impact in WWE while he was there. As noted, he squared off with the company's biggest stars including Shawn Michaels, which may be a surprise to some seeing how it never happened on pay-per-view. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-1UBh2pF1Q In the latter half of 2003, Goldberg was embroiled in a heated rivalry with The Game over the world title. In an attempt to make life miserable for him, Triple H put a bounty out on the former WCW champion. Always the opportunist, Shawn Michaels jumped at the opportunity to make some cash, taking on the then-reigning World Heavyweight champion with the title on the line on the October 20 edition of Raw. Granted, it was several years too late, but it was still surprising to see a money match given away on free TV like that. The two took each other to their respective limits, but the dream bout was unfortunately interrupted by a returning Batista. Claiming the bounty for himself, Batista annihilated Goldberg, leaving fans speculating who was truly superior between Goldberg and Michaels.
