It's easy to see that John Cena is being genuine when he speaks of WWE as being his life and a company he cares greatly for. That doesn't alter the fact that fans don't feel sympathy for a man who has been cast so often as a superhuman goody-two-shoes. WrestleMania XXVIII proved that.

Losing to The Rock in the main event, Cena looked utterly dejected as he left the ring and plonked himself down on the entrance ramp to survey the crowd. Fans didn't quite turn on Cena here, but there wasn't an outpouring of support for the guy either. Cena's crestfallen look didn't suit the moment.

Maybe it would have, had WWE not booked a rematch between both men for WrestleMania 29 that flew in the face of their own 'Once In a Lifetime' billing for the first match. Had Cena not been handed a win to even up the score, it may have been more believable that he'd be devastated about losing to The Rock.
